令和7年以降の黒石寺蘇民祭について
令和7年以降の黒石寺蘇民祭については、実施しないこととなりました。
その理由は、現在祭りの中心を担ってくださっている皆様の高齢化と、今後の担い手不足により、祭りを維持していくことが困難な状況となったためです。
今後可能な限り祭りを継続することも検討しましたが、祭り直前での急な開催中止等、多くの皆様にご迷惑をかけかねない事態の発生を防ぐため、祭り自体を行わないという判断に至りました。
これまで長きにわたり、黒石寺蘇民祭の護持にご尽力いただいた皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。
また、蘇民祭を楽しみにしてくださっている皆様におかれましては、大変申し訳ございませんが、何卒ご理解を賜りたく、よろしくお願い申し上げます。

2024 Kokuseki-ji Somin-sai and Future Somin-sai Beyond 2025
The Somin-sai of 2024 is scheduled to take place on the evening of the 8th day of the Lunar New Year (February 17th, Saturday). It will be held in a shortened timeframe from 6:00PM to 11:00PM. Please note that this differs from the usual schedule, which typically spans from the evening of the 7th day to the early morning of the 8th day of the Lunar New Year.
As for the Somin-sai beyond 2025, it has been decided not to proceed with the festival. This decision is due to the aging of individuals involved in the festival and a shortage of successors. While efforts were made to continue the festival to the best of our abilities, in order to prevent last-minute cancellations or disruptions in the future, the decision to cancel the festival itself has been made.
We express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported us thus far. We regret any inconvenience caused to those looking forward to the Somin-sai.
